Jean Mus was born in the village of Cabris, near Grasse, a region of France world-famous for its perfumeries. His landscape architecture is inextricably linked to his love of the Mediterranean. For several decades, Mus has designed parks and gardens on the Mediterranean coast and all round the world.
Whether creating a private, enclosed garden or majestic grounds on a vast scale, he works with the same enthusiasm and passion. He uses his expertise to create enchanted places where he exalts beauty and sensuality and respects the environment. He is known for his equally sensitive approach to wide, open landscapes and urban environments.
In the two decades since Ed Ng and Terence Ngan founded AB Concept in Hong Kong, the duo have built their practice into an international design powerhouse. Renowned for their sensual, textured interiors, architectural use of space and meticulous detailing, Ed and Terence draw on diverse cultural influences to create exceptional, narrative-driven interiors for some of the most beautiful hotels, restaurants, clubs, and homes in the world.
Today, Ed and Terence oversee their design ateliers across multiple locations, managing a small and multifaceted but carefully chosen team of talented designers to translate their unique vision into truly extraordinary spaces.
Ed Ng — With over 25 years’ experience in luxury hospitality, residential and commercial interior design, Ed has led AB Concept to become one of the world’s leading design studios.
Ed is an active participant in numerous international design forums. And, as Vice-President of the APHDA at Tsinghua University, he is a passionate advocate for developing and supporting design talent in China.
Terence Ngan — Terence is the lead architect at AB Concept and has been instrumental in defining the studio’s sleek, nuanced style. His work is characterised by timeless simplicity, sophistication, a clear-minded, rigorous approach and an unerring instinct for designing spaces.
Hospitality Design magazine included Terence in its 2010 ‘Wave of the Future’ list of the industry’s most innovative, exciting designers.
